About

Those of you who know me probably think I’m purely nutty to establish yet another blog about D/s, S&M and fetish.

Many of my specialized micro-sites are produced for the reader, not myself. They are - oh, vain man! - educational in intent. Their scope and audience are limited by intent.

Down On My Knees, my primary site dealing with power exchange and sadomasochism has over twelve hundred entries. It is getting unwieldy and some of the older notes deal with a relationship since ended or express opinions from which I’ve moved on. Not that I’m planning to abandon Down On My Knees.

I will probably pull over and republish entries here. My favorites as it were. Meaning those that I enjoyed writing. My pleasure in creating an entry is perhaps my primary criterion for liking what I’ve written. Not illusions of truth or inherent value.

My expectation is to keep that site more personal and anecdotal. A fuzzy, doubtful idea for someone like myself who sees most erotic truths as rooted in biography. Having a goal - however imperfectly realized - is a good idea.

Because my long term romance that ended late last year was with a female (transsexual) top much of what is on Down On My Knees has been framed in terms of what is often called Femdom. Nothing wrong with that - I love worshiping a woman. But as a gay, queer, heterosexual-homosexual, bisexual, pansexual male - a sexual human being - I’d like to establish a web presence not so rooted in gender or that more adequately reflects my same-sex desires. Something like that.

Because I’m currently without a play or life partner this site will surely reflect my interest in seeing if somehow here in Durham, North Carolina I manage to find someone with whom to explore BDSM.

There is always the possibility that I will eventually decide this that this is not a good idea and merge what I’ve written into the older site.

I welcome my old friends and hope to meet new ones.

And I’ll be happy to take requests.

Richard
